Our Salt Beef Brisket comes from pasture-raised grass-fed, aged beef prepared in a specially curated salty brine to bring out the fullest flavour.
Often associated with indulgent, high-piled sandwiches from New York City delis, Salt Beef is historically a traditional delicacy connected with England’s Charcuterie, a French term for prepared meat.
It is made from beef brisket, a hard-working joint taken from between the front legs of the beef carcass. The beefy flavour and robust texture of brisket make it perfect for curing to create Salt Beef.
This product is frozen and will defrost during transit to you. Ensure this product is thoroughly defrosted before heating. We strongly recommend using within 48 hours for best quality. This product must not be refrozen.
Prepared by hand and expertly cured our Salt Beef is ready to enjoy, perfect for a Reuben sandwich and can be eaten hot or cold. Once the beef has been brined for around two weeks, it is then gently soaked and steamed until it’s incredibly tender. Any fat marbling will have melted away and the meat is left flaky soft. Our recipe is as simple and natural as possible letting the flavour of our beef shine through.
Simply simmer to heat. Warming instructions are included.
