Wild Cumbrian Rabbit Whole
Wild Rabbit is low in fat and extremely flavoursome meat. Their truly wild lifestyle and a natural diet make for healthy, lean meat that tastes delicious and mildly similar to gamey chicken.
While it is officially game, the meat is not particularly ‘gamey’, bearing a closer resemblance to chicken in taste and texture. Wild Rabbit can be prepared in many ways just like a chicken. It makes a delicious burger and pairs up well with wine and cider based sauces, but the most famous comfort options by far are casseroles, stews and, of course, pies.
Please note that although our primary source for whole rabbits is Cumbrian farmed, we may substitute with Gressingham whole rabbit. This is dependent on seasonal availability and what we have in stock at the time.
