Wild pheasant is a succulent bird that’s exceptionally tender, easy to cook and a British seasonal speciality, rich in flavour. 

Start to finish, our pheasant cooks in less than an hour, quicker than roasting a chicken.

If roasting whole, cover the bird with bacon to retain its moistness. Wrap bacon rashers over the breasts, add a splash of cider and roast in a foil parcel. Pheasant goes well with many different flavours (perfect for stuffing) such as cloves, garlic, juniper berries, rosemary, sage and thyme.

Pheasant is known for its wild flavour, a distinct mild gamey flavour which becomes more distinctive the longer the bird has been hung for.

Pheasant is lean, rich in iron and protein but low in fat. It is a versatile meat and is a fantastic tasty alternative to chicken. Our game is wild and shot. Whilst every effort is made to remove any shot, on rare occasions traces may be found.

One whole game bird is a hearty portion for one or two people.

Storage Information
Once you receive your order simply pop it into your fridge or freezer. For best results use fresh meat within 3 days or freeze on day of purchase for up to 3 months. Always thaw meat thoroughly before cooking and do not re-freeze once thawed.
